Please join us for a constituency meeting of the SW Rural Super CA, covering the constituencies of Livingstone- Macleod, Highwood, and Banff- Kananaskis. This meeting will focus on three CAs that work together for the development of a stronger Alberta Party presence in the rural SW corner of Alberta. We will be creating a plan forward to increase community engagement and develop policy that focuses on the needs of the members of this area.
Alberta's budget has spent years in deficit. The UCP is attempting to cut its way to balance. But that won't work. BOTH sides of the provincial ledger need to be re-thought. A balance needs to be found between revenues and expenses.
While we reject the NDP's inclination to attempt to tax the budget into the black, the Alberta Party does believe that new revenue sources need to be created. One revenue source that deserves serious consideration: a provincial sales tax.
Whether its comments on our 2021 Shadow Budget or use of Next 30's budget tool: we're glad to see Albertans considering the pros and cons of a Sales Tax.
We'd love to hear more about what our members think.
So we are hosting a Zoom conversation on March 10 at 7pm.
A Zoom link will be emailed out the day before.
This is a member's only event. If you would like to purchase a membership, you can do so here. Or if you want to learn more about the Alberta Party or about membership, we invite you to checkout the next Alberta Party 101 event.
