Greg Clark releases a statement on International Women’s Day

EDMONTON, AB - Alberta Party Opposition Leader Greg Clark released the following statement on International Women’s Day:

“Thank you Mr. Speaker, it’s an honour to speak on International Women's Day.

Yesterday my staff and I were talking about the controversies spurred by the reprehensible "red pill" anti-feminist ideology. And of course I was shocked by the entire idea. I have to admit I was shocked to hear about the ingrained sexism that women on my own staff have faced in the recent past.

Where the experts agree

Political parties often make big ideological statements about the best things to do. We hear a lot from right-wing parties about the need to cut spending. Left-wing parties talk about raising taxes. Much of this ideology is based in emotion.

What’s often missing from these positions is the voice of reason. The facts. The evidence that those left-wing or right-wing ideas come from some kind of proof. Or at least some kind of proven theory. That’s why the Alberta Party is different. We are the smart and sensible centre. We build policy on good ideas, not just what feels right to us.

“All options should be on the table” to return to prosperity, says Clark

EDMONTON, AB  Alberta is on an unsustainable fiscal path that risks our future prosperity and bold action is required to put our province back on track, says Alberta Party leader Greg Clark. 

“As the downturn moves into its third year Alberta is at a crossroads,” said Clark. “We can no longer afford to avoid difficult conversations or to rule anything out, even if it’s politically unpopular. All options should be on the table.”
