Robert Walker's Profile
Robert was born and raised in Calgary and after studying, living and working in Ontario, Indiana and New York City, is very proud to call Alberta and Calgary, home. He is a former commercial litigator and currently practices law as Legal Counsel for a Calgary energy company. Robert has always been an active volunteer in the community serving as a youth soccer coach and providing pro bono legal counsel to refugee children, victims of violence, voting rights groups, anti-poverty advocates, and other non-profit organizations.
Robert has been active in politics since 1995 when he first joined the Young Liberal club at the University of Western Ontario. He has since worked on numerous campaigns at the federal and provincial level for the Alberta Party (Calgary-Elbow Campaign Manager), the Liberal Party of Canada (Kent Hehr 2015 GOTV chair), the Ontario Liberal Party, and the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta. During his time living and working south of the border, he was an active volunteer with the Kerry-Edwards ’04, and Obama-Biden ’08 and ’12 election teams.
Robert is committed to helping the Alberta Party take bold action to offer Albertans a pragmatic centrist alternative in the next election in order to form a better, responsible government for Albertans.
He and his wife have two daughters and live in the provincial riding of Calgary-Currie.
