For the first time since 2019, Alberta Party volunteers from the Lacombe-Ponoka Constituency Association set up a booth at the 2022 Ponoka Trade Show on April 8th and 9th.

It was GREAT to be back!

Thank you to all the people who stopped by and shared their vision for a positive and prosperous future in Alberta, and thank you to Leader Barry Morishita for joining our 2019 Candidate, Myles Chykerda, Saturday afternoon! Barry got a lot of hard questions and always answered truthfully from the heart.

It was clear that many people are fed up with the governing party here in Alberta. Lack of transparency, duplicitous behaviour, concerns about the Premier's true intentions, and many other issues were discussed.

But we don't want to focus on what the other parties are doing wrong and what to vote against. We want to give Albertans something to vote for.

The Alberta Party wants their MLAs to first and foremost be true representatives of their constituents. They need to listen to the people before listening to the Party. That's what true grassroots politics is all about. The people that live in a riding know the educational, health, and economic needs of the area better than anyone in a detached office hundreds of kilometers away does.

We also believe that local municipalities and organizations need fair funding from the Province in order for our communities to thrive. Balancing the budget on the backs of residents is not honest accounting.

But perhaps the biggest thing we'll say after this weekend is that we will be honest. Albertans are losing faith in their government, and for good reason. The Alberta Party will be bringing forward multiple policy and platform pieces relating to the restoration of democratic processes leading up to the 2023 election. Stay tuned!
