As we enter the last couple of days of this election campaign, it is vital that Albertans vote for the candidate that will best represent them.
This has been one of the most divisive elections for personal attacks and rhetoric. Jason Kenney and the NDP have both created fear to ensure Albertans believe they only have a choice between two extremes -- another four years of out-of-control spending and the transfer of private sector jobs to the public sector or four years of disrespect, conflict, lawsuits, and a step back in the governance of our Province. The very tactics used by these two parties during the campaign should be enough to make Albertans start to review ALL their options.
The Alberta Party believes you can have a strong social system and have a strong economy. The Alberta Party is made up of pragmatic, 'outside the box' innovators who have a focus on Alberta's future. We cannot plan for the future by 're-creating' policies of the past. We cannot plan for the future by creating policy that makes doing business in Alberta unattractive. We cannot focus solely on moving our oil by one pipeline. The Alberta Party has created sound policies that will transition Alberta from relying on the export of raw materials to a robust diverse economy, providing a range of jobs and opportunities that mirror the diversity of our province. We know that small business is the backbone of our communities and the Alberta Party has focus on ensuring small business has opportunities to be competitive and succeed. The Alberta Party has candidates campaigning in all 87 ridings. What are we going to do? Visit AlbertaParty.ca under Election 2019 Position Statements.
Tourism is a primary economic driver in the Banff-Kananaskis riding. The mountain destinations have proven to not only be resilient, but to prosper during the economic downturn. This riding deserves to have a representative who not only has the practical knowledge of the tourism industry, by working in Bow Valley tourism for 30 years; but also has the academic knowledge with a Masters of Tourism Management degree. Beyond the knowledge of tourism, I also have working knowledge of both farming and oil & gas, having been raised on a family farm in central Alberta. I have spent countless volunteer hours over the past 25 years building stronger communities throughout the Bow Valley. I see the opportunity to strengthen the resiliency of the Banff - Kananaskis riding through more communication and collaboration of all our constituency communities, including the sovereign nations of Stoney Nakoda and Tsuu T'ina, should that be their wish.
On April 16th vote for the party that has their eye on the future. Vote for the candidate that will be the voice to champion your issues. On April 16th, vote Brenda Stanton your Alberta Party candidate.
