Moe Rahall is an entrepreneur, business owner, certified journeyman, community organizer and family man.
Born in Lebanon, Moe came to Canada with his family when he was two years old. His father worked in the asbestos mines in British Columbia before moving to Edmonton in 1992 and started a hair salon. Moe attended elementary, junior and senior high in north Edmonton, graduating from Queen Elizabeth High School in 2005.
He joined the family business, Shadified Salons, after graduation and earned his journeyman certificate. The family-owned business now operates five salons and employs more than 60 people.
In addition, Moe started a construction company in 2012 that built houses in the Edmonton-Castle Downs constituency, including the Crystallina house he, his wife, and three children call home.
Moe, and his family, are active volunteers in their community. Moe and the Shadified Salons Team support We’re Here for You Day with Can Man Dan supplying back to school haircuts, school supplies in backpacks and food hampers each September; has raised funds for the Stollery Children’s Hospital; organized a charity fundraising golf tournament annually; and supports community boys and girls sports teams.
Moe is proud to be part of the Alberta Party with leader Stephen Mandel, the only provincial leader with real life business experience to go with his municipal and provincial government experience. He is also proud to be part of an Alberta Party team with a rich diversity of gender, culture and occupations, who share the same passionate for Alberta and its future. He will advocate for fiscal and social responsibility, while working to create the conditions for shared prosperity for small business and citizens.
In his leisure time, he plays hockey with the Vikes and ball hockey with the Jedi Knights, and is teaching his children to skate.
