Marcus Erlandson is a father of a beautiful little girl, an engineer in the oil and gas industry, and a passionate volunteer in officiating of minor sports. He grew up in Saskatoon, SK and moved to Edmonton, AB to attend university.
Marcus completed his Bachelors Degree in civil engineering and his Masters of structural engineering at the U of A and started working in Edmonton. In 2016 I moved to Fort McMurray for work and fell in love with the city.
Having worked in the oil sands while staying in work camps, he had a poor opinion of the community, and now that he is a resident, he wants to promote the community and encourage more people to discover how beautiful the city is.
Marcus is a strong believer in the importance of diversity in our community and wants to ensure that people of all backgrounds are respected and treated fairly. He strongly believes in the importance of public healthcare and wants to ensure it is protected against privatization.
Marcus volunteers with minor baseball to coordinate umpires as well as umpiring himself and refereeing minor hockey.
