Lindsay Luhnau is a passionate Calgarian who works hard to improve the lives of those who live in Alberta. Her career has spanned diverse sectors, including both provincial and municipal governments, not-for-profit, and private., In all her roles, Lindsay is known as someone who gets things done.

One of Lindsay’s major values is service for others. Lindsay founded the Calgary Aging in Place Cooperative because of this belief, an organization that connects seniors to non-healthcare services and support, so they may remain in their homes as long as possible. From founding the cooperative to her volunteer time as a Beaver Leader, Lindsay works continuously to make the city she loves—Calgary—a truly remarkable city. In 2012, Lindsay was awarded the  Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award—an award honoring significant contribution by Canadians within their community or region. 

Creating partnerships is how Lindsay gets things done. Through her volunteer and professional experience with the government of Alberta and the City of Calgary, Lindsay understands the importance of cooperation between private, public and not-for-profit sectors. In all she does, Lindsay works with and empowers people to coordinate around causes. Lindsay is striving to create a place, through strong public policy, where everyone has the opportunity and the resources to succeed.

Lindsay earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s from the University of Calgary. 

Lindsay currently works as a Business Strategist with the City of Calgary, leading the sharing economy projects. She has a keen interest in the economic empowerment of all citizens and nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit of Alberta.  

Lindsay has lived in Calgary-Currie with her two young sons and husband for the past 9 years. She would focus on delivering fiscally prudent results for her constituents when elected from this riding in 2019.
