Senior Care is vital for Alberta. Senior Care enables us to ensure that the seniors are cared for in all aspects, instead of just acute issues.

Seniors are an important group of Edmonton-McClung’s community and should always be consulted when possible regarding decisions that affect life within the constituency. 

In early February we were lucky enough to spend time with the members of Touchmark Homes. This visit allowed us to hear what their concerns are for the upcoming election.

One major concern was staffing shortages. We want to state that we will not cut front line staff if we get elected. Front line staff, which include, but are not limited to, Recreation Therapists and nurses, are important elements when ensuring that seniors maintain their health. These front line staff members are trained and can help with issues that the rest of the population may not be as aware of. Senior Care can allow seniors to be more independent, have companionship, exercise, and have an overall better life. Front line staff in Senior Care will not be cut with the Alberta Party
