The Alberta Party is announcing Layton Veverka as its candidate for the upcoming by-election being held in Lethbridge-West on December 18, 2024.

Veverka, a power engineer, husband, and father of one, has been a resident of Lethbridge for more than a decade. He is eager to show Albertans that there is a common sense, reasonable alternative to the two-party system currently in the Legislature in Edmonton.

“I am thrilled to have Layton step into this role for us,” said interim leader Lindsay Amantea. “He is a dedicated, hardworking person who would make an excellent Member of the Legislative Assembly representing the people of Lethbridge-West.”

The Alberta Party is committed to addressing fiscal accountability, individual freedoms and community responsibility to the public discourse in Albertan politics.
