The past couple of weeks have been busy for sure; from door knocking in Hanna, Stettler, Delia and Erskine to meeting with the Paintearth County council, Stettler Town council and the Prairie Land Regional School Division board, we've had some good discussions.

People are concerned about the future and want to see practical solutions to the issues that affect rural Alberta, not more political rhetoric. Topics such as predictable and sustainable funding for municipal infrastructure and school busing are top of mind. How can our communities plan for the next 5, 10 or 20 years when they don't know what funding from the province will even be in 2 years?

We need a better plan with balanced, pragmatic solutions to the issues. A balanced budget with long term, sustainable goals and funding is possible, but we're going to have to leave the 'politics' behind and focus on the people. Its time for a better way!

The Alberta Party team (including candidate Jim Black from Brooks-Medicine Hat and MLA Rick Fraser with family in our Drumheller-Stettler riding pictured above) will have a better way forward.
