Brian has a vast array of experience as a self-employed businessperson, senior level executive, and with multiple political campaigns. After developing a farming and ranching operation, Brian moved to Edmonton where he continued his extensive work on the Boards of numerous key institutions. He served for 11 years on the UofA Board of Governors, six of them as chair. Brian currently chairs the Edmonton Public Library and Sawridge Trusts Boards and serves on the boards of IIRoC and Edmonton Fringe Theatre. He has accumulated more than 200 years of service on various boards, including:

Brian’s specialty is developing and executing on well-thought-out strategic plans.
He brings a wealth of political organizing experience at the constituency, provincial, and federal levels and is well versed in campaigning, fund raising, and reporting requirements. Brian served as CFO on 14 provincial MLA campaigns, as a member of the 2012 Provincial Campaign team, and as treasurer of the Chinook constituency.
A strong believer in giving back to society, Brian has a proven track record for getting things done: he knows how to establish the best plan, how to finance it, and how to achieve success. The University of Alberta granted him an Honorary Degree for his “outstanding volunteer service to society”.
Brian has been a member of the Alberta Party since July 2016 and has personally sponsored numerous Edmonton events for the Alberta Party.
