Alberta Party Leader Barry Morishita has been granted official candidate status by Elections Alberta after delivering all necessary documents to the Brooks-Medicine Hat byelection Returning Officer’s office today. Barry is extremely proud to be running under the Alberta Party banner in the constituency where he grew up, has raised his family, and built a business.

“The people of Brooks-Medicine Hat, including those in Redcliff, Duchess, Rosemary, and everywhere in between, deserve an MLA who has contributed to the community for decades and will represent their interests in the Legislature. I am that candidate, and I am spending this campaign listening to my neighbours, sharing my reasons for wanting to represent them, and hearing about their vision for our community so we can build a better Brooks-Medicine Hat together.”

Barry’s campaign office opened in Medicine Hat last weekend, located at 103-579 3 Street SE (Gaslight Plaza). The public open hours are as follows:  

• Monday to Friday: 9am to 8pm 
• Saturday: 9am to 6pm
• Sunday: 12pm to 6pm
