The Alberta Party is proud to announce that Jennifer Yeremiy has been officially nominated as the Party's candidate for Calgary-North West. As our third candidate, Yeremiy represents Albertans who are stepping up to the challenge of bringing respectful, pragmatic, and principled leadership to Alberta’s Legislature.

“My experience, and the principles of the Alberta Party, prompted me to take my win-win mindset to where it is needed most”, said Yeremiy. “We are looking out for what is best for all Albertans at a critical time in our Province's history, by being fiscally responsible and socially progressive now and into the future.”

Yeremiy brings over 20 years of experience in the energy sector to her candidacy, including as a professional geophysicist and team leader. She is proud of her recent work improving policies and regulations concerning the clean-up and restoration of oil and gas sites. She and her family have also been actively involved in the West Springs-Cougar Ridge Community Association, including the planting of 1500 trees and seedlings, as well as in the Hockey Calgary community.

Leader Barry Morishita says he is excited to see Yeremiy earn the votes of her neighbours. “Jenny is a prime example of how the Alberta Party is presenting a formidable slate of candidates for the next election. With the ultra-divisive culture being peddled by the only 2 parties currently in the Legislature, we are providing Albertans with something to vote for through candidates like Jenny.”

Yeremiy’s goal is to work with Alberta's MLAs, regardless of party or position, to put forward policies that benefit all Albertans and especially the people of Calgary-North West. Her campaign will be accepting donations here

The Alberta Party is opening other nomination races across the province. Prospective candidates interested in the Alberta Party and our nomination process can contact the Talent Acquisition Committee at [email protected].

The Alberta Party is committed to providing Albertans with a choice in the next provincial election that is centered around pragmatic, innovative solutions to the issues facing all Albertans.

Biography

Jennifer (Jenny) Yeremiy is a proud Calgarian, Albertan, Canadian, and land steward within the traditional territory of the People of Treaty 7 and Metis region 3. Herself, her partner Chris, and their two boys have been active community members as demonstrated by their involvement in the community association (planting over 1500 trees and seedlings in the community of Cougar Ridge) and the Hockey Calgary community. She is committed to making the communities a better place for everyone. Jennifer has 22 years' experience in the energy sector as a professional Geophysicist and leader. Over the past two years, she had the opportunity to influence significant improvements to policies and regulations with respect to the clean-up of oil and gas sites (liability). This experience, and the principles of the Alberta Party, prompted her to take a win-win mindset to where it is needed most: looking out for what is best for all Albertans at a critical time in our Province's history by being fiscally responsible and socially progressive now and into the future. Her goal is to work with Alberta's MLA's, regardless of party or position, to achieve much-needed updates to policies that benefit all Albertans, primarily the people of Calgary - North West! Jennifer is extremely grateful for this opportunity.
