Pat Cochrane

Pat has lived in Calgary since 1993 and have been involved in her community in many ways, including issues and activities focused on education, the arts, politics and community service. Some of her involvements include:

Serving the residents of City of Calgary Wards 8 & 9 as an elected public school trustee for fourteen years, twelve of those as Chair of the Board of Trustees;
Serving as a Board Member (seven years) and Co-Chair (two years) of the Board of the Child and Family Services Authority of Calgary and Area;
Board Member of Sage Theatre Company for four years;
Board Member (five years) and President (two years) of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Calgary and Area, as well as volunteering as an in-school mentor for BBBS for seven years;
Founding Governor of Education Matters, Calgary’s Public Education Trust, serving as a member of the Board of Governors for eleven years; and
Member of the Campaign Executive Team of the Naheed Nenshi election campaigns of 2010 and 2013.

Pat has been involved in the Alberta Party since 2009 as a party member, financial contributor, participant in the Big Listen, and as a member of the Board of Directors. She is keenly aware of the need for change in Alberta politics and is very excited about the Alberta Party’s role in effecting change in our province. Pat was recently convocated from the Master of Arts in Leadership program at Royal Roads University.
