Resignation of Glenn Taylor as Leader of The Alberta Party
July 31, 2012
The Alberta Party, on behalf of its’ members and the people of Alberta wish to sincerely thank Glenn Taylor for his outstanding dedication and selfless service over the past year as leader of the Alberta Party. Mr. Taylor has announced his resignation, effective September 22 2012, as Party Leader “for personal reasons”.
“I have truly enjoyed the challenge of building a new and progressive voice for Albertans,” says Glenn Taylor. “I am proud of the civility that the Alberta Party was able to bring to the tone of Alberta politics and look forward to continuing the work required to create a rational and forward thinking Party for all Albertans. Given the 17,000 votes of support in the last election, it is clear that we won’t be alone on this journey.”
“Glenn has been a strong leader of the Alberta Party,” says Brian Thiessen, Alberta Party President. “Glenn’s tenure as leader of the Alberta Party was truly impressive. We are proud of the work that he has done and wish him only the best in his personal and professional life.”
The Alberta Party is and continues to work toward its Vision of creating an equitable province for all Albertans. We strive to assemble the best minds in order to formulate the best ideas for Alberta’s future. We are proudly continuing this process and look forward to working with our members at our AGM in Calgary on September 22nd, to continue to provide positive leadership and vision for the province of Alberta.
