The Alberta Party recognizes the significant social returns from investment in education; it is the key to a prosperous province, personal opportunity, growth and enrichment, informed democratic debate, social mobility, and the research and development essential to compete in a global economy. Increasing tuition fees, student debt and regional inaccessibility have been pushing post-secondary education out of reach of many Albertans. Cost is the primary barrier to post-secondary education, both academic and trades training.
