Greg Clark launches new website to protect Inner City schools

Greg Clark, leader of the Alberta Party and candidate for Calgary Elbow, today announced the launch of a new website in his fight to protect inner city schools.
“Building new schools at the expense of inner city schools is the plan of both the Wildrose opposition and the PC government” said Clark.
“Alberta’s cities are growing rapidly and as much as we need new schools in our suburbs, we need to invest in our school system across the board.”
The website shows recommended class sizes for all grades. Clark encourages parents to help him fight for their schools by visiting the site at www.newenergyalberta.ca/education/ and highlighting the difference between their child’s recommended class size and their actual class size. Each entry tells Alberta’s politicians it is time for real change.
“My own family is experiencing the challenges of our public education system,” says Clark. “My daughters’ school no longer has a library. It has been eliminated and is now used as a classroom. This is in addition to multiple portables. And mine is only one of hundreds of similar stories throughout the province.”
“It’s time we build our education system, not just schools. The Alberta Party will protect schools in Calgary Elbow and fight for funding for teachers and support staff to ensure our children get the education they deserve.”
