As reported by CBC and the Calgary Herald, today the Greg Clark campaign denounced the use of fraudulent robocalls in the Calgary-Elbow byelection. Over the last week, the Clark campaign has received a number of complaints about repeated robocalls which fraudulently appear on the caller ID as being made by the Alberta Party. However, none of those calls ever originated from the Greg Clark campaign or the Alberta Party.
Please share this message with anyone you know in Calgary-Elbow and let them know that our campaign was the target of an unknown party making fraudulent robocalls in our name harassing residents in Calgary-Elbow.
An easy way to do this is to share this Facebook post (along with your personal message).
We have contacted Elections Alberta to request an official investigation, filed a complaint with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and reported the calls to the Calgary Police Service.
We understand that these fraudulent calls must have been disruptive, and we need your help to ensure that the people of Calgary-Elbow know that these calls were not made by the Greg Clark Campaign or Alberta Party.
Thank you for your support!
