Centre Together 2.0 - Jobs & Economic Development Bold IdeasEdmonton, AB, Canada · May 13, 2017 at 9am - 10pm
The Alberta Party invites centrists from Alberta across partisan lines to join us in Edmonton for a day of discussions and connections focused on building the pragmatic, responsible, and balanced choice for moderate voters in Alberta.
The day will feature panel discussions on jobs and economic development, as well as speeches from Alberta Party Leader Greg Clark and Alberta Party President Pat Cochrane.
During the afternoon we will have a moderated panel that will focus on the question "How could a socially responsible government create policy conditions which will enhance access to the labour market for under-represented groups?"
Our panelists include Jackie Ryan (Director of Teen & Adult Services - Centre for Autism Services Alberta), Shauna Simpson (Indigenous employment advocate), and Odiri Mike-Ifeta (Founder - Ablaze Canada)
For our evening event, our panel will attempt to answer the question "How could a fiscally responsible government create an environment where Albertans have stable employment and job growth?"
Our evening panel will be moderated by Kathleen Smith (Political Commentator & Blogger - KikkiPlanet), and will feature Dr. Mel McMillan (Professor Emeritus - Department of Economics and Fellow - Institute for Public Economics at the University of Alberta) and Robb Campre (President - Ogakie Industries, Former Board Member - Edmonton Economic Development Corporation), and Mark Anielski (Economic Strategist, best selling author The Economics of Happiness).
Your $75 ticket includes access to the full day of activities, including the day program, dinner and the evening panel. A cash bar will be available on site.
A room block has been reserved at a discounted rate for those who wish to stay either the night before or night of the event. In order to access these special rates, please call the hotel directly at (780) 454-5454, and request rate confirmation number 1653224.
