Calgary-Buffalo - Discussion on Electoral Reform

Calgary, AB, Canada · October 24, 2016 at 5pm - 7:30pm

The Calgary-Buffalo Constituency Association of the Alberta Party invites you to discuss Electoral Reform in Canada. The federal government is currently evaluating switching away from the current First Past the Post voting mechanism. Whether this stays at the national level or moves to the provincial jurisdiction as well, it will impact all of us as voters.

We are pleased to welcome Cee-Jay Jackson to lead us through this discussion. Cee-Jay is a current graduate student of the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary. As a life long Calgarian, he first became interested in politics in high school and has a BA in Political Science from the University of Calgary.

We hope you will join us whether you like the existing voting mechanism, are eager for a change or would just like to learn more.We are planning an interactive session where we will all come out better informed of the options and understand each others perspective a little better.

Ticket prices include two drink tickets and appetizers. Registration and networking will start at 5pm. Cee-Jay Jackson will speak at 6pm.
