Brent moved back to Alberta eleven years ago. He lives in Central Alberta and teaches CTS Communications courses Lacombe Composite High School. Brent is typical of many proud Alberta residents, transplanted from somewhere else in the world. He understands the problems confronted every day by fellow Albertans, as well as understanding how Alberta is perceived by the world, andother Canadians. Brent has two adult sons.

Brent developed his leadership capabilities working in a variety of jobs during his life, including hard-rock mining, farming, building construction, teaching and school administration. In every job Brent sought out leadership opportunities to expand his leadership capacity.  Brent is well liked and respected by all those who come in contact with him. He works closely with the largest private scholarship foundation in Alberta.  Brent relates to people in all walks of life, from the students in his classroom to the older gents in the Lacombe Vintage Machinery Club. He is also an amateur musician and plays with a local Pipe Band. As a band member he exercises his musical brain, listening, valuing individual differences and working as part of the team.

Brent had occasion to visit Sweden 2 summers ago, and was struck by the pride the Swedish people had in their government. They felt as though they were in control of their Government because of the responsibility Government demonstrated to them. The pride in their elected officials was an inspiration which Brent hopes to return to Citizens of Alberta by restoring true democratic rights.

Brent, I am delighted that you are the A.P candidate in Red Deer North. The very best to you tomorrow. I want to see you in the Legislature.

And thank you for everything you have done so far. New politics is coming to Alberta, and you are among the first sowers of the seed.

Everyone at school loves this man. He KNOWS what he’s talking about, and certainly knows his way around the social issues of the day. Even the social teachers speaking directly with him can sometimes feel inadequate. He’s kind hearted, keen on everyone’s feelings, and wont let you down. Everyone in Lacombe knows and trusts this man, and its about time Red Deer got to know such a wonderful person too.
