Alberta Party Exceeds Expectations for Fundraising in Second Quarter

July 15, 2014

Fundraising hits 106% of target

The Alberta Party again exceeded its fundraising target in the second quarter of 2014.

“We are very pleased with our progress again in this quarter,” said Alberta Party leader Greg Clark. “As I travel around the province, I see the support increasing for the Alberta Party and this is tangible evidence of that.”

“We are making steady progress to meet the goals laid out in our 2020 Vision document - the business plan for the Alberta Party”, said Clark. The plan contains specific, measurable targets to guide us and track our progress. It also is a solid example of our commitment to transparency in government.”

“The vast majority of donations continue to come from individual Albertans,” said Clark. “We take that as a definite sign that the Alberta Party message is resonating with the people of Alberta.”

The following is an update on the 2020 Vision targets for the second quarter of 2014:

Achieve fundraising goal for 2nd quarter

Achieved 106% of fundraising goal. We are pleased that fundraising continues to be steady even while leadership contests continue to draw most media coverage. Our fundraising success is due to the continued hard work of the Alberta Party Board and members getting the word out about the party.

Achieve membership target

Work in progress

Interest is growing significantly. Membership numbers have remained steady for the 2nd quarter but is tracking slightly below our 2020 Vision target. We are confident membership numbers will grow and we expect to hit our 2020 Vision target by the end of the year.

Review/Update 30% of our policies in 2014

On track

Policy committees are hard at work and are on track to meet our goal of reviewing/updating 30% of our policies in 2014. We have released two draft policy papers per the 2014 Alberta Party work plan.

15 active Constituency Associations

There are 15 active Constituency Associations at the end of the quarter. Remarkable work is being done by our organizers and we are confident we will meet our goal of 50 CA’s by the end of the year.

“We are at a crossroads in politics in Alberta”, Clark said. “Albertans deserve a government that values its citizens above all and a province where our general wealth is reflected in the quality of our services. We are committed to building a legacy of prosperity and stability for future generations through dedication, collaboration, and citizen-centred policy.”
