CALGARY, AB - August 11, 2015 - At a press conference this morning, leader Greg Clark officially announced the Alberta Party candidate for the Calgary-Foothills by-election, Mark Taylor.
"Mark is an upstanding Calgarian with a passion for making our community better. We're proud to have him as a member of the Alberta Party, and excited about what he brings to Calgary-Foothills. His background and his commitment to our community makes him the best option to be their next MLA.”
Taylor has spent most of his career as a professional engineer working in oil and gas. Leveraging what he learned in the industry, Taylor built a business specializing in leadership development and executive coaching.
"The citizens of Calgary-Foothills are in a unique situation. They are returning to the polls for the third time in less than a year to elect their local representative," said Taylor in his announcement speech.
Taylor also feels this by-election is about choice, and that the citizens of Calgary-Foothills have the chance to finally vote for the person who will best represent them at the local level.
"A vote for the Alberta Party means voters want a local representative that is looking out for all of them and not just the few who hold a party membership. It means they are tired of partisan politics and are done with the old political parties. It’s time to take a balanced approach and vote for the Alberta Party, a vote that all of us can feel good about the day after the election.”
