CALGARY, AB - March 24, 2016 - The admission that the NDs have no plan to balance Alberta’s budget is an abdication of their duty to Albertans, says Alberta Party Opposition leader Greg Clark.
"I've been concerned from the start that the NDs haven't had a plan to return to balance,” said Clark. “Joe Ceci simply confirmed what Albertans had feared: this government has had no intention and no plan to return to balanced budgets."
Clark said the NDs need to make difficult choices to manage the cost of government.

EDMONTON, AB - March 8, 2016 - The NDs missed the opportunity to reassure Albertans about the economic stability of the province, says Alberta Party Opposition Leader Greg Clark.
“The NDs have absolutely no interest in a plan to get back to balance,” said Clark. “This is troubling and is certain to lead towards a credit rating downgrade.
“At this point the government cannot continue to blame the PCs for their current economic situation,” said Clark. “I am concerned about their inability to actually rein in spending, and this is the reality that their choices have led us to. The NDs need to recognize that and correct course immediately.”

EDMONTON, AB - March 8, 2016 - Alberta Party Opposition Leader Greg Clark has released the following statement on International Women’s Day:
“I am fortunate to be surrounded by strong, wonderful women in my life. My wife, my daughters, my family and friends – I could not be the person I am without the influence of these remarkable women.

CALGARY, AB - March 2, 2016 - Alberta Party leader Greg Clark has written a letter of support to the Canadian Environment Assessment Agency in support of the Pacific NorthWest LNG project.
“Projects like Pacific NorthWest LNG will be beneficial to BC, but also to Alberta and all of Canada,” said Clark. “It’s important that we stand together as Canadians to support projects that are in our national interest, even when those projects are in other provinces.”
Clark called on other Alberta provincial leaders to state their support, and to make a submission to the Agency before the March 11 deadline.

EDMONTON, AB - March 1, 2016 - MLAs will now be required to claim actual living expenses after the Member Services Committee approved Alberta Party Leader Greg Clark’s proposed changes.
“I’m glad to see the committee adopt my suggestion to require MLAs to claim ‘up to’ the maximum allowable rather than claiming the maximum amount despite actual costs,” said Clark. “This will not only save taxpayers’ money, it shows MLAs are leading by example in difficult times.”
“This is one of the first issues I raised when I first became an MLA. Although it’s taken some time, it’s good to finally see the changes approved.

CALGARY, AB – February 29, 2016 – Following a decision by the Board of Directors, the Alberta Party has elected to not run a candidate in the Calgary-Greenway by-election.
"This byelection was called early by a government desperate to get it out of the way before a bad-news budget," said Clark. "We believe the best place to communicate our vision for Alberta is the Legislature, which starts next week. We will continue our role as the de-facto official opposition by sharing ideas on how to take Alberta forward in difficult times by releasing another alternative budget, ideas about how to rebuild the Heritage Fund, and other policies."
"Running in this byelection is not the best use of our resources as we build towards 2019,” said Greg Clark, leader of the Alberta Party. “We have a clear plan to build the Alberta Party and we’re on track to be a significant factor in the 2019 general election.
